Opera studio of LSICA

Hudozhestvennіy head of the studio - Honored Artist of Ukraine Valery Leonov

Opera studio was created in 2006 by the honored art worker of Ukraine, professor of LSICA – V.P. Trubin-Leonov.

The task of the studio is the disclosure artistic opportunities of young performers, upbringing the sensitive and cultural singing actor-vocalist. The cast of performers consists of students, master degree students and graduators of the vocal singing chair and choir directing chair of LSICA.

Studios projects:

April, 2007 – the first night of the opera “Mermaid” by Dragomyzhsky

April, 2008 – the first night “Eugeny Onegin” by P. Chaikovsky

Studio performances are held in the concert hall of LSICA, Lugansk regional academic Russian drama theatre accompanied by the opera studio orchestra (art orchestra director – Nadezhda Kozlova).

April, 2009, April 2010 – the first night “Montekki and Kapuletti”  on the base of the tragedy of Shakespeare “Romeo and Juliet”. The originality of the performance is that it was created specially for LSICA by students, beginning from musical material composition (composer – a member of the national Union of Ukrainian and Russian composers, associate professor, Alexander D. Haryutchenko), libretto (author – the member of the National Union of Ukrainian composers, associate professor  - Eugeniya Y. Mihalyova) and finishing by the performers and production part of the performance.
