Meet the scholarship holders of the Luhansk Regional Council in 2011

Every year the Luhansk Regional Council gives personal grants to the best students of Luhansk region. What do you need to be one of them? You should be diligent, conscientious in studying , socially active, initiative in the public life and successful in the creative work. Whose example the students should follow this year?

Yaroslav Shabalin, the second-year student of the “Creative Computer Graphics” specialization of the Fine Arts Department.

Yaroslav is conscientious and responsible in his studying. He has reputation of creative and talented person: he repeatedly took part in the Ukrainian Student cheerleading competition with the institution group (2009, 2010); as a member of this group he became the vice-champion in the nomination «Cheer-hip-hop», he is the candidate for master of sports. He is the winner of Ukrainian and International choreography contests, such as “Zoloto oseni” (“The Gold of the Autumn”) (Luhansk), “Chernomorskiy Zvezdopad” (“The Black Sea shooting stars”) (Yevpatoria), the modern choreography championships of Ukraine (Sumy). As a participant of the folk dance theatre «Talisman» he repeatedly took part in the creative projects of «Krasnaya Ploschad’, 7» Centre (“Rusalochka” (“Mermaid”), “Idi Za Vozduhom” (“Follow the Air”), “Lift”).

Daria Cheb, the second-year student of «Cinema and Teleart» specialization of the Culture Department.

She is combining the perfect study results with the scientific work. The topics of her researches include the wide cognitive sphere, for example: «The education of the value attitude for life», «Archaeological findings of the Luhansk region of XXI century». Daria takes an active part in the work of the educational TV studio LSIKA as a journalist, presenter (since September 2009 to October 2010 as a member of students editorial staff she prepared 18 “Studen’” programs for broadcasting at Luhansk Regional Television). Last academic year Daria as a member of the initiative group created a new creative group in Luhansk State Institute of Culture and Arts: the “Showrhythm” drummers band, which plays an active role in the institute, city and regional activities. In this band she is the leader assistant. In 2009-2010 academic years Daria became the best student of the Culture Department.

Elena Ptichenko, the fourth-year student of «Cinema and Teleart» specialization of the Culture department.

Elena attends the classes with diligence, she is interested practically in each subject. However, her majors are the mastery of the presenter, stage and screen language, television journalism.

She successfully combines the perfect study results with the scientific work. For already 6 years Elena takes part in the work of the heroic and patriotic club «Young Guard» under the Krasnodon Young Guard Regional Museum of the amity nation’s order . As a member of the creative group, she repeatedly took part in the remembrance relay race «They were thrown not to the bore pit, but to our hearts», which took place in the towns and cities of Luhansk region (2006-2007), Russian Federation (Moscow, 2008-2009), in the program «The Word About War», devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory (2010). This academic year her work “Screen images of the «Young Guard» film” took part in the regional contest for the best student research works in the learning of the history of the underground organization «Young Guard» and got the diploma with honour. Elena Ptichenko takes an active part in the work of the Luhansk State Institute of Culture and Arts TV studio as a journalist and anchorperson. For already fourth year Elena has been a member of LSICA Students Council, moreover two of these years she has been the Students Self-Government Body President of the institute. Also Elena is a member of the television club «Cinema» students council created by the group of students from «Cinema and Teleart» specialization, one of whom was Elena Ptichenko. Elena is a socially active person and always takes part in the regional activities aimed at the development of the student’s self-government: Luhansk regional youth forum «Lugansk region – youth – future» (2008, 2009); she is an active volunteer (participant of the charity activities «Give present to an orphan», «From heart to heart», «All the world is with you»), she always takes part at the concerts. During the summer of 2009 Elena worked as a member of the students’ labour team «Forsage» and during the summer of 2010 as a guide and a head of the hobby group at «Radost’» Children Health Care Centre (Lubimovka, Crimea).

Veronica Bobrova, the third-year student of the «Academic singing» specialization of the Music Department.

Veronica is a student of the Chair of Vocal and Choral Conducting, she studies in the group of Liudmila Anatolievna Kolesnikova, the honored artist of Ukraine, professor of the Chair. During the all years of studying at the institute Veronica has been an excellent student. Since 2010 she has been the group monitor. Veronica lives a bright creative life. In 2010, she took part in the Ukrainian “Rozhdestvenskii Zvezdopad” («Christmas Shooting Stars») chamber music contest (Kiev), where she took the 1st place. In 2009-2010 Veronica worked as a member of the chamber choir «Alma mater» during the production of the students opera «Montekky and Capulet» by A.D. Hariutchenko.

Veronica takes an active part in the concert activity of the institute. She worked with the brass band under the guidance of Sergey Yovsa, the honored art worker of Ukraine in the program «The Songs of the War Years», and also in the chamber concerts, within the Children Philharmonic Society framework “Rovesnik” (“Age-mate”), devoted to the N. Rimskiy-Korsakov’s creative work. In 2009 she took part in the “Days of the Czech Music” concerts organized in Vladimir Dahl Museum and in the concert devoted to the creative activity of Alexander Pushkin.
