Children Arts School

In year 2000, in order to provide the possibility of the most complete creative education of Lugansk region gifted children the arts school has been created in frames of Lugansk regional college of culture and arts. This school became the starting point of three level educational complex «arts school- college of culture and arts – Lugansk State Institute of Culture and Arts». The need to create a school of such type has been caused by the necessity highly professional exponential staff fundamental training for culture and arts domain in Lugansk region starting from young age.

School has three departments: musical, choreographic and fine arts. It also has preparatory classes. During the time of its’ existence the school has recommended itself as an elite educational establishment of creative profile, where leading college and institute professors teach, and where the most gifted children of Lugansk and Lugansk region study. It is confirmed by students’ active participation at all Ukrainian and international contests of fine, musical and choreographic art. From the school opening the work on creative collective creation has been started. The ensembles of domra players, violinists, bandura players, guitar players and vocal ensemble had been created. Near all of them are regional contests laureates. The CAS LRCCA pupils’ creative life is related to the concert halls of Ukraine, close and far abroad. There are V.Spivakov charity fund «New Names» program scholarship holders among pupils.

If to tell about musical department achievements there were a lot of them for past years. In autumn 2002, the festival of children Ukrainian music has been held on the base od children Philarmony Society «Rovesnik». Well known composers such as V. Ptushkin, D.Sosko, Zh. Kolodub assisted at this festival. The shool pupils –Adelina Moiseyeva, Iryna Burgan, Angelina Berezuyk, Alina Natalukha and others assisted at this festival and went on conserts tour to region. «Muzhychna Gazeta» reported about this festival. In October 2002, 6 pupils from musical department visited musical school in Roche –la – Molliere. The school celebrated its’ 10th anniversary. Pupils gave conserts and played at orchestra there.

As for choreography, here we also have some achievements. In 2002 The Children Arts School has started to develop such a rare genre as subject choreography. Olena Oleksandrivna Roslyakova choreographer, directed children ballet «Snow-white and 7 dwarfs» (music by B. Pavlovskij). This fascinating performance became a full house. Choreographers in collaboration with ancient music ensemble «Are nova» (the director is V. P. Mihalev), which has been created at the musical department, also directed several historical-kitchen-sink dances (ballet and curanta). At fine arts department, headed by Ludmila Mikolaevna Suhorukova annual exhibitions are held. Here we would like to mention that the students of this department take part in all contests conducted by regional administration of culture. The head of the Children Arts School of Lugansk regional college of Culture and Arts is Mihalyuk Olena Evgenivna, educational work assistant director is Zhuravlyova Tetyana Olexandrivna.
